What is Nefertiti Lift ?
As we age the lower face tends to sag and can look heavy. We can treat the lower face with anti-wrinkle injections to relax the muscles that pull the lower face downwards. This treatment is known as the ‘Nefertiti lift’.
The Nefertiti lift is subtle and we often recommend dermal filler as well as the Nefertiti lift to help lift the lower face. Some patients with loose skin may be more suitable for surgery rather than the Nefertiti lift.
A Nefertiti Lift is a non-invasive cosmetic procedure that involves painlessly injecting anti-wrinkle medicine into the neck and jaw muscles. This results in an enhancement of the neck and jaw lines and correction of facial proportions achieved with the shrinking of the jaw muscle (Masseter) and reducing the activity of the neck muscles (Platysma) helping to create a sharp and tapered lower face.

Treatment & Downtime
Patients can return to work on the same day. There may or may not be some redness and small bumps at the injection sites which resolve quickly. The injections will start to work after about a week with a maximum effect at about 3 weeks. A follow up is advisable at this time.
